Nine teams teed it up in the two person scramble event at Centerton GC last Friday and the duo of Gary Peart and Brian Green from the host club took low gross first place with a seven under par 64. They also added to their winnings with skins on holes #14 and #17. Finishing at the top of the net division was Steve Filbey and Joe Saverine and the Centerton team posted 62. Closest to pin winners were Howard Ennis & John O'Shea on #7 with a shot that stopped 5' from the flagstick and gave these Centerton players the prize. On hole #17, the Juniata GC team from Philly....Larry Lauterborn and Bill Giulian stuck it to 3' 6" and pocketed the CTP cash. This was the final pre-season tournament of the AWGL, leading to the opening event of season 38 at the Avalon Golf Club on Friday October 25th, starting with a 10:00AM shotgun.
